OTK Boots + Holiday Style Inspo

screen-shot-2016-11-15-at-1-24-30-am

Can someone please explain to me how on earth it’s already mid-November? Did Halloween even happen!? I’ll try to look past how fast time flies and start focusing on how close we are to the jolly holiday season! And no, I’m not talking about Starbucks Winter flavors, I’m talking about 5th ave lit up at night with all the beautiful holiday store fronts. My mom and I every year look forward to viewing Cartier’s holiday decor as it’s our absolute favorite! Lucky me, I intern a block away from Bergdorf’s and The Plaza Hotel so I get to admire the beauty every Monday and Tuesday ♥

Anyway, let’s get to the core of this post. There is nothing I love more than holiday gift shopping and finding the perfect outfits for all the festive gatherings. When I think of the perfect outfit to celebrate the frosty spirit, I think of long sleeve dresses (ribbed knit, sweater dresses),rompers, in the colors of burgundy, black, frosty white and metallic. It’s always nice to pair a dress with some sexy pumps, but this joyful time is about cozying up and that means pairing your dresses with some sexy Over The Knee Boots or booties. I also love chunky knits and lace sleeve detailing for the holiday season.

Let’s take a quick sentence or two to talk about why I love OTK boots…not counting this one! To keep this short:

•Pair them with a dress

•Pair them with jeans/leggings

•Dress them up

•Dress them down

•Perfect for a day→night look

In this featured post, I am wearing one of my absolute favorite dresses from Ronny Kobo. It’s this super comfortable ribbed knit long sleeve that has a little flare at the bottom; combining sexy with feminine.  I actually only wear this dress in the winter because the frosty color, texture, and long sleeve are the perfect glam to a fun winter night out. I love this dress especially for the holiday season not just for those reasons, but because you can layer it with a ton of fun colors and accessories (hats, scarves, cardigans, etc).

I was lucky enough to score this dress for almost nothing at my first internship at a PR Firm where Kobo was one of our clients. As it’s still only November and we still have some time to get into the holiday mood, I decided to keep this look contrasted and not to “spirited” by throwing on one of my favorite black faux fur vests from PPLA, with the classic  5050 Suede OTK boot  from Stuart Weitzman.

What is more classic than throwing on my favorite black on black chevron Chanel? img_1868

Haha, I noticed the snowflakes right away and was like “darn, this is cute as long as it’s on a screen and not real”. I love your dress and like you said, it can be styled in SO many ways so it’s really the perfect dress for the holiday season so I can understand it’s one of your favorites! 🙂 And sounds like a wonderful place to intern at too! Seeing all that Christmas decor is like an everyday treat when you pass them! And you’re right, how the heck did we get here this fast?
    xoxo

Over the knee boots can easily take any normally summer look and transition it into fall. They are just so sexy and versatile. Love how you styled yours here!

I love the simplicity of this black and white outfit! And I’m so obsessed with your boots and bag. A dress and OTK is actually one of my favorite combos for fall/winter!
